Two 19th c. French Heavy Pewter Measuring Tankards (Demi-Litre&Double Decilitre):

This great pair of French decimal measuring tankards probably date to the last quarter of the 19th c. The large one is a DEMI LITRE and the smaller on is a DOUBLE DECILITRE. The taller one is 5.75" tall and is 3.25" in diameter. It has the first maker's mark shown in our photographs. The smaller tankard is 4.25" tall and is 2.5" in diameter. It has the second mark shown in our photographs. Both have several proof marks on their top edges and something that looks a lot like the French silver purity mark just below the edges. the small of the two has a very small mended crack where this mark has been struck.
