Georgian Period Snuff Box Red Lacquer with Gilt Peacock Faux Tortoise Shell Interior Very nice antique snuff box with a tortoise shell interior. Exterior I believe is lacquer. There is a fine all over crazing. The box is decorated with a gilt gold peacock on a dark red. Measures 3.5 inch length. 2 inches depth. Height is 1.75 inches. A small opening cut into the lid makes it easy to lift the lid off.Box shows some wear on the base and fine crazing throughout. Interior is in good condition. Gold details remain. Overall the box in good condition and a fine snuff box! Please view all the photos.
