Captivating! Vintage perfume bottle. Empty. Niki de Saint Phalle. 1982. .25 oz. This beautiful vivid cobalt bottle was created by artist Niki de Saint Phalle. The 1st edition design was created over two years. (See Cleopatra’s Boudoir for a full history of artist & creation). This 1st size bottle displays as a squared, deep cobalt pedestal. Its shining gold cap twists open. Sitting atop are two intertwining serpents, the male electroplated in gold, the female, a hand-painted color-burst of spots & stripes. The gold face displays the artist’s signature just above lettering ‘First Edition’. Some of the surface gold has dulled, but still shines. (See photos for specifics). Almost 3” x 1” x 1”.
