1928 Abraham Lincoln Brass Mile Maker Plaque For Sale

Opened in 1913, the Lincoln Highway in its heyday was marked with a concrete mile marker post every mile, each one bearing the red, white and blue \"L\" logo of the Lincoln Highway, and, above it, this bronze medallion or plaque set into the concrete with a profile of Abraham Lincoln. The inscription says THIS HIGHWAY DEDICATED TO ABRAHAM LINCOLN. You can see that there is some minor damage to it. Four inches in diameter, with three barbed tangs around the edges to hold it into the concrete.
