1890’s Gus Weyhing cabinet card published in Philadelphia by Blaul. Gus had two stints in Philadelphia. Style of the cabinet is 1892 or slightly later. Gus was born in Kentucky and spent a good portion of his life in Louisville. He has 264 wins and 1667 k’s career MLB. Definitely a Hall of Fame candidate. There is a dispute over whether Weyhing or Pete Browning were the first baseball players to use a Louisville Slugger bat. A little under 5 by 7 inch in size. Stains toning and wear.
