Rare Antique Victorian Gold Plated Magnifying Glasses - Spectacles Circa 1900 ~ The Glasses are not scratched & in perfect condition. I would estimate the magnification at about 300. The ear part is flexible
The case is metal & covered with fabric that shows age but works perfectly & snaps closed tightly. Lined with velvet. It appears these glasses have not been worn but have been moved around & stored for many years by the appearance of the case.
These spectacles are very lovely & unique. Can be worn & used as the lenses are very clear & do the job of improving vision.
I purchased these from an estate sale about 20 years & don't have any history but please feel free to ask questions. They have been well stored in a smoke-free home.
