Original Civil War Softpack Knapsack, August 1864 Contract:

Previous owner bought this 50years ago and the $10 price tag from then is still attached! The knapsack is complete and still fairlyflexible. There are some holes and splitshere and there in the tarred fabric, and some of the leather straps are flakedas seen. Very nice markings on the shoulderstraps. As typical, the rawhide ties forthe flap pocket have cracked off (except for one.)

This one would be much improvedby putting a cardboard stiffener inside – it has been stored flat for manydecades.
