Keystone Stereoview Aerial View Statue of Liberty, NY 600/1200 Card Set #36 A T2 For Sale

This is an excellent Stereo card of the Statue of Liberty and Bedloe’s Island (renamed Liberty Island in 1956), New York Harbor from the Air. It is from a Keystone “Tour of the World” 600 card set (the cards are numbered 1 to 1200) from the 1930's. The card is titled "The Gateway to America – an Aerial View of Statue of Liberty and Fort Wood on Bedloe’s Island, New York Harbor." and is numbered 36 with a Keystone negative number of 34089. This card is in excellent to near mint condition and measures 3 1/2" by 7”. The back of the card is printed with information about the subject. Stereoviews or stereo cards have two nearly identical images mounted side by side. When looked at through a stereo viewer they give a three-dimensional image. Most popular from 1854 to 1938, they were produced in vast quantities, and many are of historical interest. They usually measure about 3 ½” by 7”.
