Description For your consideration is anAntique Industrial Gooseneck Desk Lamp, made by the Faries Mfg Company. This lamp has a few interesting features, like the green metal embelishments around the collar and base of the lamp. The lamp is in terific condition and is a great find for collectors.
The Faries Manufacturing Company of Decatur, Illinois, produced innovative, adjustable electric lamps and fixtures for both industrial and residential use. Robert Faries founded the company in 1894 & during the early 20th century, Faries lamps were used extensively in medical and dental offices. Since these lamps are rare & hard to find, many lamp and lighting collectors consider Faries Company lamps the “Holy Grail” of industrial lighting
