This listing is for all seven, mid-1940\'s, Naval items shown and as found. Five of the items are associated with the U.S.S. CANBERRA Heavy Cruiser No. 70. All of the pieces belonged to one of the gentlemen shown in the Naval Training Center picture shown. Which young man? The son, unfortunately, who I acquired the pieces from was not sure, as his eyesight was not good. Saying that, all of the items were passed down to him from his father. BLUE NAVY HAT - Intact with only minor wear/marks.
WHITE NAVY FLOPPY HAT= Intact, with only minor wear. Minor Staining as shown in pic# 8.
OCT 27, 1945 NAVY DAY PAMPHLET WITH PIC OF CANBERRA= Intact but has some wear/folds.
8 x 10 PHOTO of CABERRA (pic# 2)= Written on the back is...\"Taken Nov 21 when on second shakedown off the coast of Cuba.\" Does have some crazing and wear, minor tears, mainly around the edges.8 x 10 PHOTO of CABERRA (pics 9+10)=Written on the back is...\"Taken during pause in battle in Pacific, sometime in 1944.\" Has more wear, and more tears (mainly around edges) as shown.
14 x 11 GROUP PHOTO OF U.S. NAVAL TRAINING CENTER (pics 5+6)= Taken April 30, 1945, at Sampson, N.Y. Does have some minor overall wear, wrinkles and some tears around the edges as shown.
