Vintage 1940s Signed Thai Nakon Niello Sterling Button Pair.
This is a niello sterling 18 mm button pair by Thai Nakon, the oldest Thai niello sterling jewelry maker. Both buttons have domed fronts. One button features a dancing angel (apsara), and is signed “Sterling Thai Nakon.” The other button depicts a warrior demon brandishing a sword. It is signed “Thai Nakon Sterling Thailand” under a pyramidal trademark. Very good vintage condition.
