Antique Victorian Late 1800s to Early 1900s Celluloid Photo Album - 10.25" x 8.5".The celluloid albums were primarily made between 1892 and 1915. This one features a hard cardboard cover with deer, a mountain range, and raised painted flowers on the front. It has a beautiful blue velvet fabric on the binding and the back. The clasp is still intact and has 'J.R.G.M.' stamped into it. The inside has fourteen pages (front & back) of card-stock frames. There are no photos included with this album.
The top cover has minor wear and the upper left corner has very minimal tattering. The velvet is in fantastic condition with only a little bit of wear on the binding. The pages inside are discolored due to age and use and there is some writing on them. There are only a couple of pages with very small tears on the paper that covers the cardboard frames. There is also a little bit of moisture damage but it does not seem to affect the use of the album. The binding is still perfectly intact. The spring-loaded clasp still works great!
