Up for sale is a nice a Beautiful NOS Never Installed Elgin 37500 8-dayMilitary AircraftClock.

Clocks were made by both Elgin and Hamilton in 1944-45 for the U.S. Navy to meet the demands of War,used in WWllCarrier BasedAircraft such as the F4U Corsair and F6 Hell Cat. The 37500 clocks were vital for Navigation.

Cockpit and F6 photo are ones I took of an original F6 Hell Cat dash panel with the 37500 in the cockpit on the left.

Movement is an 8-day 16 jewel mechanical type with a 3\" in Green and yellowfluorescentdial that glows reddish under UV light,Case is made of black bakelite.

Becausethe clock is close to 70 years old the oil has to be changed so the clock has been completely disassembled,ultrasonicallycleaned and correctly oiled,adjusted and timed,this is not an easy task to do because there\'s over 400 pieces to these clocks and many adjustments! Video below shows a 37500 completelydissembled.

The clock looks and runs great! keeps very accurate time,allfunctionswork as they should.Thisis such a Beautiful Piece of Military Aviation History and would be the center piece of any Collection!

This 37500 will come with detailed operating instructions and some interesting history about these fabulous timepiece\'s!
