Megas Alexandros photoreal This is a photorealistic scenery of a
relatively small area around Megas Alexandros airport of Kavala,
Greece, containing (inbetween other things) a small portion of
Nestos river and Thassos island (picture above). The nominal
resolution of the scenery is the standard (for fs9) 4.8m per pixel.
To install, drop the 'Megas_Alexandros_photoreal'€™ directory in the
'Addon Scenery'€of fs9 and activate it from within the

Megas Alexandros photoreal
This is a photorealistic scenery of a relatively small area around
Megas
Alexandros airport of Kavala, Greece, containing (inbetween other
things) a
small portion of Nestos river and Thassos island (picture above).
The
nominal resolution of the scenery is the standard (for fs9) 4.8m per
pixel.
To install, drop the 'Megas_Alexandros_photoreal'€™ directory in the
'Addon
Scenery'€of fs9 and activate it from within the simulator.
Getting there: Go to LGKV, takeoff RW23L, once over the coast turn
left
heading 140, climb and maintain 4000'™. You should see Thassos
island
straight ahead. Get there, fly around a bit, then go back to
Keramoti (see
map in PDF document) and hold. Expect further clearance sometime
tomorrow.
Limitations: Too many. But the most important ones are (i) no night
textures, (ii) only one set of textures for all seasons, (iii) I
have not
even tried to smoothly blend the various images making-up the
scenery, (iv)
no water textures for the rivers (this is deliberate), and, (v) the
extend
of the scenery is very limited (due to lack of images).
