Background
----------
If you like flying in New Zealand but in the Qantas livery, that means flying a
QANTAS/Jetconnect B737-300 or 400. QANTAS Jetconnect is based in Auckland, New
Zealand (NZAA) and is a subsidiary of Qantas. I love flying in and out of
Queenstown, New Zealand (NZQN), so that was the inspiration for this repaint.
Besides, there are no repaints of the QANTAS Jetconnect B737-400's in the new
QANTAS livery.
QANTAS Jetconnect operates a fleet exclusively comprised of Boeing 737's. As of
Jan 2009, they operate 5 376 models and 3 476 models for a total fleet of 8
aircraft. This 476 model bearing registration JK-JTR, is the first in the fleet
to be repainted in the new Qantas livery with a restyled kangaroo, new font for
the QANTAS name, and the missing gold band in front of the red on the aft
section of the fuselage.
All repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps.

Installation Instructions:
--------------------------
Prerequisites:
This is textures only install package. You must own the 50North Boeing
737-300/400/500 to use it.
Extract the contents of this zip file into the folder that contains your 50
North 737-400. Remember to use the "Use Folder Names" option. The extraction
will create a folder named texture.QFA_JK-JTR. It will also create a file named
fltsim.QFA_JK-JTR.txt. That file contains the entries that must be added to your
Aircraft.cfg file following the last entry. Simply change the 'X' in the [fltsim.X]
header to the next sequential number in your aircraft.cfg file. For example, if
the last entry is [fltsim.1] then change the 'X' to 2. Start FS9 and look for
the aircraft under the Manufacturer Boeing-50N, the variation

Other Enhancements:

I suggest that if you want an "as real as it gets" experience in your 50N B734,
consider the following:

Wilco/FeelThere merge:
----------------------
If you also own the Wilco/FeelThere B737 PIC, you have the foundation for
combining the excellent 50N visual model with the outstanding FDE and highly
functional and realistic panel/cockpit of the Wilco product. The author of this
modification is Edmundo Azevedo. As such, any questions should be directed to
him. I think this merge results in the best of 2 products and highly recommend
it. If you are interested in this merge, download the following file from

Panel:
------
Perhaps the best freeware B737 panels are by Paul Scarratt (aka PS Panels
Classic B737 Panel). In December 2008, a modified version of Paul Scarratt's
panel was released by David Gutierrez. Whichever you may like, here's the links
to each of them:

Sound:
------
Emil Serafino, Jr. a talented contributor of freeware soundsets has a very nice
CFM56-3 soundset made for the 50N as well as the Wilco/Feelthere guppy. This
soundset blends very nicely with this model and nicely depicts the sound of the
CFM engine. To get this soundset, you will need the following file at AVSIM.COM:
